Big and Beautiful!

Hello one and all! I don't know if you have read this article about what the CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch wrote...but I for one have something to say. If you haven't read it Here it is.
It all sums it up saying things like..

“He doesn’t want larger people shopping in his store, he wants thin and beautiful people,” Lewis said. “He doesn’t want his core customers to see people who aren’t as hot as them wearing his clothing. People who wear his clothing should feel like they’re one of the ‘cool kids.’”

Well let me say that I didn't know all cool kids were thin. Infact I know that in my high school that yes the majority of the popular girls were skinny, but I also know that not all of them were.

“In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids,” he told the site. “Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don’t belong [in our clothes], and they can’t belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely. Those companies that are in trouble are trying to target everybody: young, old, fat, skinny. But then you become totally vanilla. You don’t alienate anybody, but you don’t excite anybody, either,” he told Salon."

Sure I can get going after the cool kids, they make the biggest impressions in High School...so yes I totally understand that marketing reason I guess...I mean your only in High School for 4 years so I can see how that would be a reasonable strategy instead of a long term one. But another term I see here is that only the "cool kids" are "all-American with great attitude and a lot of friends"...That is so rude to say. I had no clue that only the "cool kids" could be all American and have a ton of friends...I have had a bunch of friends through out the years and I am not a skinny girl who can fit into that stereotype that this man is giving bigger people.

I have struggled with weight my whole life, and its taken almost 24 years to come to terms with this is who I am. I will never be a skinny girl in Small shirts, who can shop at Hollister and Abercrombie, and even though that hurt my feelings in high school...I'm not in high school anymore. In fact most of the popular kids in my high school are still living in their parents houses, have kids with random men, do drugs, and just don't have great lives. So I am glad to of not had that pressure on me to be "the cool one".

I maybe big and have big breasts but I damn well know I am a beautiful person, inside and out. I have so much love in my life and I could careless if I wear the "popular brand" that high school kids wear. Those kids will one day get to where I am and realize its not such a big deal. I know my daughter might have problems with weight one day too...and I know she might struggle with this, and as much as I am working on setting better eating examples for her...its pretty inevitable that Evelyn will end up with big breasts and she'll be wearing larger shirts to cover them up, and she should in no way be ashamed of herself because she has to wear an XL shirt.

Its a shame to see someone who has such a big impact on fashion in high schools has a stigma towards people who have issues with weight...or like I said just want to cover themselves up more with a bigger shirt. People that are overweight get enough shit because apparently all they do is eat twinkies all day long, but we all know that being overweight has more to do with self-esteem and other issues they might be having...its not all because we stuff our faces all day. And for someone who was raped, molested, lost a sister and has had many self-esteem issues especially when all that happened in high school, and then go shopping with friends only to not fit in the "skinny girl store" clothes, that hurt my feelings. I wasn't good enough again...I was worthless, because I something was happening to my body that I didn't feel like I could control all the time.

Its nice to see a store CEO come out to say that even though I am not in high school anymore and could careless if I wear his over priced clothing that I am still not good enough to wear his clothes. Well I got news for you sir....I am happily married to a wonderful man who tells me all the time how gorgeous I am on a daily basis. I gave birth to a wonderful healthy little girl who loves me no matter what I look like. Sure I maybe over weight and have to wear XL shirts, but at least I feel beautiful in what I am wearing, and that's what every person who designs clothes should want their customers to feel like...not like they fit into some high school stigma, I left high school 6 years ago...I don't want to go back, I'm perfectly happy with being a beautiful curvy and big breasted woman! So I think I can say for all of us bigger woman and men that we don't care that you don't like us...cause we like us just fine. We are happy with who we are and just fine wearing clothes from JC Penny and any other generic store...because those store just want us to look beautiful no matter how big we are. Something you should learn from them...but don't worry I wont hold my breath that you'll be around in 20 years. Enjoy living in the high school days you probably didn't have, I'm glad I am out of High School and have no intentions of every trying to fit into the "in" crowd, those days are long gone.

I'm back at it!

I'm sure everyone is tired of me crying and whining about my weight, and you know what I am tired of it too. After a lot of thought and a lot of thinking...I decided it has to be done now...or I need to stop complaining and just get over it. So 2 weeks ago...I started my new lifestyle. Yes its a lifestyle and not a diet.

P needed to lose some weight for his upcoming PT test, and so we started buying healthier options for food, and making healthier dinners. So far that's been easy. I have started my calorie tracker on myfitnesspal, and then guess what I did...I went to the gym! and I went more then one time.

Last time I had a gym membership...I wasn't married. That's how long its been! And believe it or not, that is when I was putting on my weight. Umm hello...I want to shake my-then-self, because I could have totally prevented all of this! I just chose not to.

So I went with my neighbor a few times, and she took a break one day, and so I had P go with me. Then I went by myself a few times. P and I are even talking about going twice a day.

I also had a talk with P about how he watches me when I'm trying to lose weight. If I had a soda while I was on a "diet" he would make sure to tell me how many calories and what a waste it is. So I asked him to back off of me, that this was just me starting out, and if I ask for advice he can give it, until then...he needs to lay off of me. So far he's done pretty good!

I'm not putting pressure on myself right now like I have in the past, right now its just starting out and I am loving it. I have loved pushing myself at the gym, and I love that I can do it in the morning when  some kids are in the playroom and Evelyn can be a bit more social.

So I am just here to say...I haven't given up. I may have backslided and taken too long of breaks, but I really have high hopes to lose my weight, get healthier, and set a better example for Evelyn and future babies. Wish me luck!

More weightloss struggles.

So my goal for the whole year was to get healthier to get pregnant towards the end of the year. Since I have major baby fever all the time, everytime I fall back a bit I feel like a ginormaous failure.

If you'e been reading my blog for at least a year, you've heard me try and try and fail and fail. I'm just getting sick of it.

My goal for every month is to lose 5 pounds. In January I lost 8! I was so stoked! Then...I got sick, and I mean I was sick for like a week, and while I was sick I didnt work out and even though I tried to eat as good as I could I was also tired and taking care of a toddler all day so I ended up making pizza for dinner. Then...I gained 5 pounds back. Talk about me feeling like an utter failure.

Now this seems to be my patern I am realizing. I lose some weight, I gain it back, I get discouraged and  go away from it. So I've decided to change up my habits, while I am working out (very lightly since I have back problems), and eating and snacking better. I gotta cut myself a break. The goal is to end being healthy and have my back ready to carry a baby, and while I still need to see  doctor for some more help with this, I cannot lose weight very fast without throwing my back out of wack. It sucks but I realize alot more now that when I lose weight very fast its hard on me, 8 pounds in a month is not very fast but its enough to make my back freak out.

the more I write this the more I realize I need to go to the doctor.

so I am taking it easy for now...calling the doctor today and stop putting it off, and figure out whats going on. Eating better and healthier is getting alot easier, and doing even the simplist work outs a day is good and I'm glad I'm making it a habit! Even if they are baby steps its still good! and I've never done baby steps so maybe this is the way for me :)

Hopefully the doctor will be able to give me some more ideas on what I can do.

go away January!

Is it just me or is January just the most depressing month?

I read an article yesterday about how yesterday is the most depressing day of the year, because this is when resolution fall apart. Its true...lets admit it, we get into it and 3 weeks later we are bored of it.

After the Holidays going into a month like January where you start feeling like a failure...aka I feel like one. No more Holiday decor, no more presents to buy, bills are due, normal life is back.

I only feel like a failure because this weekend I really let go of my diet...my husband didnt help with that. I crave cake, he buys me a cake. I have a headache and cant get rid of it, he gets me chocolate and pepsi (which is my cure for headaches), I am bored of water, he gets me a soda. Guess what...instead of saying no to the delicious red velvet cake he bought me...I eat it...but do my best not to over indulge. It took me all weekend to the (half cake) he bought me...with his over indulging helping me.

P and I have had this talk many times. I appreciate him helping me, but he is not the best encourager when he is making hamburger helper, tacos, lasagna, ice cream and so on and so forth. I think he thinks its not a big deal, but I am really trying this time, and I do a horrible job at keeping up on losing weight.

I dont mind eating some cheaper, junkier foods especially when we had a sick baby on our hands this weekend, but when he is requesting to make all this crap all the time, oh it kills me.

I know everyone says you have to lose weight for yourself...but I've never ever felt like I need to do it for me. I want to do it to set an example for Evelyn on healthy eating, I want to do it so my back wont be in so much pain whenever we decide to get pregnant again, and I want my husband to think I'm sexy...er.

Anyways...it's a brand new week. Which means a brand new start to getting back on track, and as long as I am still trying I am doing good. But really I think if I was in a better month full of decorations and lots of things to keep me busy...like every other month besides January, I'd feel less inclined to give in to cravings. But who knows Febuary is P's birthday and Valentines Day...so its the Chocolate Month. At least I am trying.

2013 the year of the Unknown

Usually I go into a New Year with lots of expectations. Especially since I got married I could predict how the year would go and usually thats how it went. 1st year we got married we got married the day before NYE so no surprise I would be moving and get a job in a different state. 2nd year, P was deployed, I moved home and I was pregnant, so I knew I'd be having a baby and moving back to Kansas when he got home. 3rd year we knew we were moving to NC and I had huge plans to go to DisneyWorld and DC, Fort Bragg was going to be amazing (yeah right). This is the 4th year and all I see is a giant black hole.

We have no idea whats going to happen this year, and its always given me bad anxiety. I'd love to say that 2013 will bring us to a new move, hopefully to Fort Carson, that it will bring me weightloss so I can get pregnant towards the end of the year, and it will bring us more money to the bank account. But lets face it...P doesn't know what he wants to do, which means I have no way to plan for what he wants to do. I am trying to lose weight for my health and have failed consistantly. We can only save money when we really really try to cut back, which we've done better at, but could still do better.

I'm currently standing in front of a big black hole. What will this year bring us? Hopefully at least my weightloss and us being better with spending and saving. But thats about all I see...and I barelly see it.

I guess thats another thing that comes with being an adult...you cant always plan everything.

Curvy Coming Back.

**dont forget to enter my giveaway! Click Here!

I have updated my blog many times talking about my struggles with weightloss and diet. My most recent weight-loss attempt was a diet called FA...Food Addicts and its basically no sugar and no flour. I did excelent and lost 10 pounds! with in the first 2 weeks.

With Holidays fastly approching and all the yummy goodies on Pintrest I am dying to make, I have started figuring out ways to stick to my diet while also being able to indulge in the holidays...especially with pumpkin MMM.

So before I start making all these yummy goodies. I am practicing myself control...with bread. I know shocker right? I'm eating bread. Holy shit.

Luckily its been working out good for me! I am not tempted to eat sugar too often. I have had cake...right I know another holy shit moment. I eat a small slice and its one slice. Boom.

I havent weighed myself...mainly because when I was in Oklahoma it was kinda hard to follow my diet when I didnt have a kitchen or a big fridge...but I ate light meals as much as I could.

My husband even noticed my curves! I havent felt curvey in a long time and I love that I am starting to getting my curves back! I loved having  a flat tummy and my beautiful curves!

I even made a running mix....ok I dont run but I want to one day run...so its more like an "I'm gonna one day run until then this is awesome music mix".

FA Update

So its been what...2 weeks since I started my journey with No Flour and No Sugar? I gotta tell you its not easy! But I actually feel like a weight has been lifted on my head...litterally. After my withdrawls I started to feel this pressure, that I never knew I was feeling, lift off me. It felt good to have alot of energy!

I wont denie it either...I have had 2 sodas...regular sodas, in my 2 weeks to help with my headaches, since tylenol and ibprofin might as well have been candy. Best decision because my headaches went away almost instantly.

I have lost...

8 pounds!

Since I started my journey. I am sure if I was watching my intake a little better I would have lost more. But I have snacked on grapes, peaches, and all sorts of yummy fresh fruits and veggies!

My pants are getting looser! Which is ANNOYING! Awesome but annoying! I do my errands and then I am into my yoga pants cause lose pants drive me nuts!

I am hoping this next week I am going to stick to this better, because I'll admit I had a skinny cow ice cream. It was delish. But I am working towards getting better!

I'm also hoping I can try out the neighborhood gym when I get back to Bragg and see how Evelyn does with the playroom now that she is walking.

I also plan on making me a little poster in my bathroom with this saying! Its not about the number on the scale..its about how you feel!

Food Addicts

So I said I was starting a new diet...and I have. I started yesterday morning.

In Food Addicts (FA) they believe in eating very clean. No flour and no sugar. All of it a toxin and makes our body's addicted to these things we dont need. I wont denie it..its not my favorite choice of diet, but concidering that I have been trying alot of things over the year, I am willing to give it a shot!

Yesterday morning I woke up and had 2 fried eggs and 6oz of fresh fruit...very yummy! about 3 hours later, all I could think about was Chocolate Cake! Now my mom said that I would go through withdrawls and have major cravings, and since she's been doing the diet since January (lost 65 pounds!) she told me to chew that desert gum. Worked wonders!

I dont think I am really going through withdrawls right now..but I am waiting for them to come. I have withdrawled from Caffiene before and it was like you'd think I had been on drugs for years...I was throwing up and had the shakes so bad. I

I had 6oz of chicken and 6oz of corn for lunch, and for dinner I got a yummy turkey burger patty, tomato and sweet potato fries! It was pretty delish...but I feel like I'm starving. More gum in my mouth!

I'm really going to give this a shot, and it helps that my Mom is doing this diet too. I dont plan on making this a life long thing, but I am willing to do it for my health! I am really serious about getting this horrid weight off me.

Heres just an idea of what my life is like right now with food...

Whats Going On?

Besides thew post I had yesterday about my Grandpa there is quite a few different things going around in my life right now.

First..Diet...Oh how I am hating to diet! I hate working out! (I stopped my yoga after I had some major pains down in my...ya know area, still need to call my doctor and make sure they arnt cysts). I also always feel like my excuses are legit! Like the one I feel is pretty legit...

"my neighborhood office in Bragg has a room for kids, but its competley seperate from the work out area and the window is too tall for me to see Evelyn from the workout area"

Legit right? Ya..until you think about the Hubs comes home from work and can babysit. Oh ya...Liz good excuse huh! I guess you can call me a clingy wife but I actually love to spend a ton of time with my husband! I like to go out without him, dont get me wrong, but if I dont have to I dont like to.
Now I am in Utah and I can go work out..there is an Army Depot here for free and I have parents who would love to babysit...but do I go? nope. Why?...because;

"Evelyn is my responciblity"

Its the truth and legit. Its mostly me putting it off. I know lots of people who work out say its 5% of your day to work out for an hour...well that one hour I could be working out could be spent with my kid or cleaning or flat out being lazy and watching tv. Yepp thats how I look at it.

BUT I know I am fat. I know I got weight to loose. I know I need to do it. If the Hubs and I decide to have another baby, I need to have this weight off of me, for health reasons. I am by no means morbidy obese..even if my BMI thing says I am Obese..I am not! I have big boobs! HUGE difference! WW is still working for me...even though I'll admit I just had a Drumstick. I am still doing it and trying my best! My Mom and I are doing a diet and I sorta want to make it a challenge...because I personally do not like weighing the same as my mom.

Second..I'm already getting cracking on Halloween! I picked out Evelyn costume and I am making it! I hope I am at least! and its gonna be amazing! :) Also my Mom wants to do crafts with my and my SIL and that will be way fun! Its alot nicer to actually get along with my SIL now.

Third..Evelyn...oh my gosh. Up twice a night...out of habit and the Hubs is mad when I try to let her CIO...the girl still wants a bottle at night...and the Hubs is no help when it comes to trying to sleep train her again. So I am stuck in this thing between wanting him to leave so I can sleep through the night again, and me just giving up and giving her a bottle at night...I know I am failing.

Everyone keeps telling me not to worry so bad..she has been 1 for 12 days now. But I had my goals set out and I feel like I fail them. I fail with my diet, I fail with my kid, I fail myself...and I hate feeling like a failure.

I am ready to start sleep training her again...and the way I am going to start is buy actually litterally throwing her bottles in the trash can. The day the Hubs leaves I am throwing them away...and not buying new ones. I am gonna be a mean momma. Well to her.

At first I thought she was waking up this much because she was so hungry...but no we pack this girl really full and give her a bath and she still wakes up. Its habit. Its annoying...this Momma is dying of sleep deprivation.

Fourth..I say I am ready for the Hubs to go back to NC...and its sorta true. I want to sleep train Evelyn, get back on a budget, not eat out all the time. Oh, and go back to not feeling like I want to punch him in the head so much anymore.

Because if I hear this;
"I'm on leave I shouldn't have to do (insert chore here) right now"

One more time I am gonna loose my mind. I dont get a vacation from Evelyn! I maybe here and not have a whole house to clean but I still clean and I still have to make sure Evelyn is fed, changed and bathed on a daily basis! That saying may have worked when he was on R&R from Iraq, but he is about to go sit in a class all day and then have weekends off where he goes and hangs out with buddies from Fort Riley soon! and thats his vacation! I dont get one! Yepp..thats my rant.

Like how Optimistic I can be ;)

Getting Curvy!

Well I have been doing Weight Watchers for over a month now, and I gotta say....its not working like I thought it would. I am the kid of girl who likes results FAST especially if I am doing it right! and thats not the case. No doubt about it I am loosing weight! I've lost...

5 pounds!

I'm not impressed. Needless to say when the hubs left I tried my hardest to eat what we had so I wasnt throwing money in the trash. It wasnt always the healthiest...but I dont think it was THAT unhealthy either.
Since I got here I started this diet...sorta with my Mom who has lost 65 pounds since January, and thats HUGE for my Mom! She is now my size, like litterally we can swap clothes which has never EVER happened! So I have been doing it with her with occasional exceptions. (sorry but I like my turkey sandwiches)
My Mom joined this thing called FA, Food Addicts, and its basically no sugar and no flour! You eat very clean! I have noticed my curves in my sides come back with this diet that I have been steadyily getting used to the last week...and I have lost....

2 pounds!

I still use WW and track my foods since I have paid for it, but its almost pointless because by the end of the day I have 13 or more points left over. Yes, that healthy! I have been eating a TON of fruit and lots of white meat, salads and of course veggies. Sounds simple right? Ya wait till your craving that candy bar! or my weakness....an ice cold Pepsi. But luckily I am living with 2 other people doing it! The Hubs even wants to do it! I'm thinking this is the way to go for me!

Weight Watchers

I have officially signed up. After months and months of debating about it in my head I finally decided to take the plunge.

It seems pretty basic, eat what you can, track your points, gain activity points and you have a few reward points for special occasions.

It will be a nice thing for me to try. We are giving it 3 months (that I paid for upfront) to see how well I do, and if I am doing fantastic then we will continue on my journey! It will be so nice since now I am chasing around a walking toddler! So when she takes naps I dont always feel up to doing my yoga or pretty much anything. BUT housework is an activity point and I do that daily!

I am really at my whits end with my weight. I feel like I fail constantly because I just feel exhausted with Evelyn and housework. I am not sure why I cannot be the wife that can maintain her weight and keep a clean house and raise an amazing kid. Maybe its lazyness but I don't know.

But I am glad the Hubs is going to start helping me a little more. Lately he has been feeling entitled to sit around and not help with anything, and when he is asked do do something a simple as washing 2 pots from dinner, he gets frustrated and mad. I understand he works and he is the bread winner, but I don't get days off and weekends should be fair play between the both of us, and not 80% me and 20% him with Evelyn.

That might be what is also contributing to me wanting to just sit, because I feel like I never can and nap times are the only times I can.

Anyways its time for me to start chasing Evelyn around. I wonder if this can be an activity point?

Wish me luck!!

Weight Loss Yoga

Because I am so optimistic, even though May is a crap-shoot month for me, I've decided to change that. I bought a few things off Amazon to restart my weight-loss. Nothing too serious, but I decided walking isn't getting me far. So I bought these two beautys...

My new yoga mat and The Biggest Loser, Weight Loss Yoga!
My Yoga Mat is Pretty!! Something nice to look at!

I started the DVD today, and loved it! I got to customize my work out, and Bob definitely lets you feel like apart of the group. He has at least one person doing modified versions just in case, and definitely gives you that extra push you need. My only problem was my wrists started to HURT, and he lets you know if you need to take a break its OK! So I took a break and drank some water and tried to stretch out my wrist. Of course after you strain your wrists there is only so much you can do. But I turned the DVD back on and continued on in my workout.

I have to do my work out during one of Evelyn's nap, and for now on it will be during the 1st nap. I am hoping I can continue on in my weight loss journey and get better and better! Here's a photo of me starting off all over again. I should have taken a side pic too...oops.

Defiantly not proud of this body...but it could always be worse. I even took a photo of my weight on the scale so I never forget that number.

Lets get Curvy PT3

I just have to say THANK YOU to all of you who commented on my last Lets Get Curvy Post, I am blonde and just barely figured out how to reply to comments...at least I think I did, correct me if I don't ever respond, its not my intention to do so.

I have lost 15 pounds and it sorta stayed that way...Easter threw me off so bad since we had a friend from the USMC here and him and the Hubs wanted to work out together, and instead of me being a big girl and working out myself...I just didn't. Oops. So now I am paying for it.

I started taking some supplements from GNC to help boost my metabolism. I think I am going to need a tad bit of help. The Hubs has been very good at pushing me, especially since I have been sleep training Evelyn (a post later to come), I have been way too tired and haven't wanted to go. He let me have 1 day were I became a couch potato and then he said that, that was enough.

The Hubs is also a little out of shape as well...by Army standards anyways, and so he has been working out really hard. By him just doing that its giving me that extra push. I know he wants me to be healthy and  I am pretty sure he is sick of me complaining about how fat I feel, so its been nice to have him here.

So far I walk 1 mile or more in the mornings and The Hubs and I take a 2 mile walk at night. I have yet to go to the gym in the morning, because I am honestly tired! Again...I will explain in another post another day but I also know its not an excuse. I know there are many more hours in the day.

I have done awesome at eating better! I have my 2 snacks a day to keep my metabolism going and healthy  meals. I don't care what some people say about "rewarding yourself" and how "your not a dog", but umm I deserve a break sometimes. I don't mean dive into a tub of ice cream, although I have been craving bubblegum ice cream, I mean a few pieces of chocolate, or even a diet coke. I make sure that I achieve a goal before I even let myself take a mini break.

I have been thinking about doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, but in reviews I have read to not do it in 30 straight days if you have overweight, since it can be hard on your knees. I would love to be at a good weight to do yoga again and last time I took yoga classes I hurt my knee, so I would have to take it easy doing that. But I also haven't done it! If anyone has done it please let me know so I can get a good idea on it!

Hopefully one day I will look like this again! I am aiming to lose 30+ pounds by August!

(I was 19!)

Lets Get Curvy! PT.2

Dont forget! Today is the last day to Ask Me Anything.

Since I last wrote about getting curvy, I have lost 15 lbs! Yepp, just by changing my eating habits. I have to admit it was a piece of cake, but for me to give up chocolate when I am such a sucker for Cadbury Eggs...I have to admit though I had maybe 5 eggs.

The Hubs and I have been walking a lot more often. His goal is to loose 15 lbs by the end of this month, and I'm just hoping to keep losing weight.

The Hubs starts work again on Monday and it will be all up to me to keep up with my success. I am pretty hopeful since the pool is opening next month I'll have plenty to walk to :)

Are any of you trying to lose weight? What are you doing?

Lets Get Curvy!

I usually dont write about my weight. I usually think that by blogging about my weight that I should be more determined to take this weight off...well I dont. But this time its very very serious.

I have hated my body since I had Evelyn. I thought breastfeeding would help but I wasnt exactly eating very well after I had her so it didnt do much. I have pregnancy and deployment weight on me and its starting to weigh heavily on me.

Its ovious I am not happy with how I look. I'm constantly feeling self consious in almost everything I wear.

So we decided not to start anything till we got to Bragg since we wanted to be able to be flexible and hang out with out friends. It was a good thing we did because we ended up doing a ton with our friends.

I'm proud to say that since we actually moved to Bragg I cut out soda and chocolate. I have lost 7 pounds and now I am more determind then ever to lose more weight. We've been doing walks alot with Evelyn and its been so much fun! I am really hoping I can keep it up.

My plans are not too drastic, since I dont stick to strick things too well. Its a steady climb to getting to wear I want and need to be. I plan on walking to the neighborhood center gym and working out at least 30 minutes before walking back home. The neighborhood center is about 5 or 6 blocks away so its not too long of a walk, but doing cardio and weights at the gym will be a great thing for me. Hopefully I can find some friends doing that too. Althought I have boobs...and I mean I have BOOBS, I dont run, it doesnt work it wears me out and theres never good sports bras that I can find in my bra size so walking/speed-walking is my best option for now.

When I met my husband I weighed 170 and it believe it or not was a really good weight for me, It definitly could have been better but I was skinny and curvy and felt amazing all the time. My BMI scale says I should weigh 130...well thats NEVER going to happen. I am too hippy and too booby so no. Now I weight....Oh too much. I'd love to weigh 155 one day and thats a goal. But for now its all about getting started.

Since we are going to Disney World tomorrow I wont be starting anything till we get back. However I will be eating healthy and not drinking alcohol or soda. Of course there will be lots of walking but I still want to have a treat or two while I am there, but nothing too fatty.

So here we go! I am planning on you all keeping me motivated through out this process and I have made my husband swear up and down that he will keep my head in the game and that he will make me blog about it. Not to mention the friends I have that give me crap if I even think about a pepsi.

Here we go...

LETS GET CURVY!!

Goals!

..not resolutions. I never saw the point. I never cared. My goals are pretty short term. Nothing wrong with short term goals, especially since a move is in 2 months!

1. Loose Weight:
Right now Hubs and I are starting to work out and eat better. I wont lie, I LOVE food! I hate the idea of not having a frozen milky way after a hard day. We watched a Doctumentry called; Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. If you've never watched it, I strongly suggest you do! We are inching our way closer to this diet/detox of ONLY 100% fruit and vegtable juices! I need to loose weight. Its unbelievable how much I have put on since the husbands 1st deployment! and we just finished our 2nd and the weight is still on me! So for right now we are exersicing. I am doing yoga and he is running. Plus replacing 1 meal a day with just fruit/vegtable juice!

2. Get More Organized!
I am pretty organized. I'll be the first to admit it, I know where every slip of paper is! But! You should see my basement. Its a wreck. I have been going through boxes after the move, trying to find the little things I need that ended up in some random box. So needless to say everything needs to be brought upstairs and re-organized!

3. Get better at saving!
I am not going to lie. The husband and I have done AWESOME at saving money, but we still allow ourselfs to dip into savings. We need the money for the move across the country. We need to keep money in there for retirment or emergancy. We dont have credit cards at all! Our bills are kind of outragous! I am ready to cancel cable. This last month we had Christmas which was a HUGE money sucker but we still managed to save money, and this paycheck we had our Anniversary. We spent more then we planned to but because Hubs wasnt here last year we both think its worth it. Sadly we couldnt save money after running out of eggs, from my husbands stupid cookin experient, to running out of baby food to my husband insisting we needed sushi! We needed to dip and so we did. We have enough gas, and I am not going ANYWHERE! Thank goodness the Ball is on the 26th and I have EVERYTHING paid for! Not a dime to spend on that!

4. Be a better Mommy.
I love Evelyn to death, but sometimes I find myself slacking in the Mom department. I play with her and feed her and change her and then sometimes I have a mental block and dont do anything with her. I have put off putting her on a schedule for a while! I finally decided it was time! Hubs is going back to work and I will have 12+ hours a day with her. I need to do it. So far its so good, though I dont know why she instists on only sleeping 25 minutes, twice a day. I am figuring it out...little by little.

5. Be a better Wifey.
The hubs and I do a good job at spending alone time together. We had our Anniversary alone, and we had friends take her for a couple of hours one day as well. We have "date nights" after the baby goes to sleep. Such as desert and wii games together. We enjoy it and we love it, but the last week we dont do that anymore. He wants some alone time and I do too after the baby goes down. But at 8 o'clock we are always in bed watching Dexter together. Its a great time for us both! Hopefully we can maximize our time outside of the TV and Dexter.

6. Get my own alone time once a day.
I need this one! I usually have the hubs watch Evelyn while I take a shower and then after the shower I read my book for a while. But I almost feel like its not enough. I should be doing more! Maybe a walk alone or sit outside and read.

Operation: Better Bod

This post is ment to be 100% honest.

Before I was pregnant, I wanted to loose weight but didnt so anything about it...I really dont know why I didnt try. I just didnt care as much I guess. When Paul was set to deploy my goal was to lose weight. I wanted my curvy skinny-self back instead of being a blob! But things change.
Now that I have given birth I am ready to start eating healthier and change some things.

Pregnancy helped me alot with cutting out Soda's. I wont deny it, I had a severe addiction to Sodas before pregnancy. I couldnt go without it, because I literally with drawled from it. One time it was so bad I was shaking and throwing up. But I knew that, that was not healthy and quit soda for a good while when I found out I was pregnant. I allowed myself a soda (sometimes two) a day towards the middle of my pregnancy from being so tired and having no energy. Now that I've had Evelyn I have been keeping up with it. Lots and Lots of water, and maybe a soda a day.

Though I cannot work out till at least 6 weeks after delivery, I am limited to what I can do now. I still have to keep up with calorie intake since I am breastfeeding, which another bonus in that is it helps burn calories! But I still make sure I eat well.

I am very uncomfortable with posting how much I actually weigh right now...but lets just say, on a BMI chart I would be considered obese. Sadly. I dont think I am obese, because I have huge boobs (G size to be exact) so I think if I had a little bit of a normal size then I would drop the weight to not be concidered that anymore.

Anyways...I just want a better body. Its going to take work, and because I am moving right after my 6 week appointment I might be a little more delayed in this, but with eating healthy I am hoping by the time Paul gets home I can loose at least 10 pounds.

So here it goes! This is what I look like right now... (my top is not off because my stretch marks are still red and its nasty to me)

hopefully I can give an update once a month
