Pumpkins!

A few weeks ago I wrote about our fun trip to The Pumpkin Patch!

Well on Sunday we decided to carve our pumpkins! Ended up being a good day to do it since we couldnt do our normal weekends with Evelyn, due to Hurricanne Sandy....it was just windy and cold and a tad bit rainy.

Evelyn wasnt interested at all in the carvings. At first she was kinda into it...and then she decided Tangled was better so she watched her movie while we carved.

I found out I can really ruin those carving knifes from walmart. Seriously I ruined 3 of them!

P did Evelyn's pumpkin. We thought Tinkerbell suited her since this year she is a......you guessed it Fairy!! I was lucky he wanted to do it, cause it had lots of tiny pieces, so I did his pumpkin for him!

Harry Potter logo..Liz's pumpkin.

Do you like them? I dont think I have ever been more proud of pumpkins!

Show & Tell; How I Met Your Father

1. Tell us about how and when you met your love and what attracted you most to him.
I wrote this story a few weeks ago. But I guess I could share the quick version :)

I had flown to Kansas to meet up with one of my friends from Middle School who's husband was stationed at Fort Riley. We ended up going to the PX for some reason, and if you've ever been to the PX you know there is a little area before you walk into the actual PX. So rigt about there I saw this cute boy in a dirty white shirt and jeans, who caught my eye. I immediatly had a shock to the system, my heart skipped a beat and then he looked at me. I smiled and he smiled but I turned away because I'm so shy, and then all of a sudden he turns and says "hi thomas" (my friends husbands name) and said we should all hang out. I walked away and told my friend he was HAWT! He walked away and checked out my ass :)
A few days later he came over to a little party. and we ended up chasing eachother all night trying to see if we liked eachother, until finally he got tired of chasing me around and just kissed me :)

2. Show us the very first {or one of the first} pictures you guys ever took together. {Feel free to show us more than one}

Haha I have a photo from that night but I have no idea where it is...but this was taken a few days later...

3. Tell us some of your favorite memories that you two had together.

I love that after I left Kansas and he flew to California how much he talked to me, and he asked me to wait for him while he was deployed. ( I met him a month before he deployed)

I remember us trying to see eachother before he deployed. (I got to see him off)

I remember that I said I Love You first. I tried not to, but he was deploying and he didnt say it so after he left and I was crying I text him saying "I dont care if you dont say it...I love you." and he replied with "I love you too"

I remember being there when he came home and us leaping all of eachother finally getting to say I Love You face to face!

I remember talking about marriage. moving in together.

I remember after he deployed again telling him I was pregnant with baby #1!

I remember all of it.

4. Tell us your favorite qualities about this man, what makes him "the one."

He knows how sensitive I am, and can encourage me without making me feel like he is pushing me out the door. He handles me so well with all the baggage I come with. He is an excellent father. He tries so hard to give our family everything. He is so honest. Beyond caring.

5. Tell us what your "date nights" typically look like.

Haha we have date nights?? One of our date nights now is, a steak dinner with a desert, Evelyn in bed early and us playing Mario Party and watching our shows.

Our old date nights always consisted of dinner out at a resturant, netflix movies and junk!

Our big date nights huge dinner out, night at a nice hotel and lots of wine!!

Halloween Decor PT. 2

If you didnt check out yesterdays post for the inside of my house Click Here

I always concider the outside of the house to be important. You have to have a cool spooky outside. My house is personally not up to where I want it to be. I'd love to have a graveyard and maybe get a fog machine and hang something from the trees but this year it just was not within our budget to do it, but one year it will be the scariest house on the block!

This would be my main window. I love blood. I had these blood cling-on's in my window last year and just loved them! My little skull man in the window there lights up. My ghosts houl and light up as well. The skulls sticking out of the ground are supposta be lights but I dont have an outlet outside so they are just out for show. Like my spider? you ca get it at Target. There are huge spiders all over peoples houses in my neighborhood.

I love my front door! I love the spiders all over it. I love my new wreath I made this year, which I am sorry its hard to see the Sun was bright! Can you see the eyes? Best part of the whole wreath. I also love my little Frankie. My 1st Halloween decoration I ever bought. Evelyn loves him too.
This would be just the otherside. Not so scary or cool. I want to do more with the windows. Im still deciding what to do. Not too fancy I know, but you can never have too many spider webs!

Heres the links for the crafts again.

Eyeball Wreath, what I did instead of doing white stryofoam balls was I bought glittered styrofoam and it really made the eyes pop. I also bought googley eyes with lashes. Both at Hobby Lobby. Click Here for the tutorial.

Magnet Spiders- seriousy easy easy EASY! I would do it again in a heartbeat litterally took me maybe 45 minutes to cut and glue everything. Super simple! Click Here for the tutorial.
