Halloween!

Halloween is usually my favorite holiday! I have a ton of décor and my house is decked out. I'm always looking for ways to get more into the spirit of it all. It's such a unique holiday, which is why I love it so much! I'm curious how it will be in Germany next year :)

This year we actually had a lot going on! We had my churches trunk-or-treat, plus P's work's Halloween Party, Playgroups Halloween party and then Halloween! Evelyn ended up with so much candy, and I'm telling you, most of it will end up in the trash... I wish I had done the switch witch thing this year.

At my church's Halloween Party.
(ps. I got so many compliments on this shirt!)

A lot of people were confused about Evelyns costume... A LOT of people asked me if she was a ladybug. I guess that's what we get for going with the Original Minnie Mouse color of Red and not a traditional store bought costume.. also probably the fact she refused to wear her ears.

Other then that I thought Evelyn looked very adorable! this is her second time trick-or-treating and she was able to say the words "tick or treat!" and always made sure to say thank you! She knew exactly what she was doing, and nothing brings a smile to mine and P's faces more then seeing her really involved in something and enjoying it!

We had a moment during the night where she tripped and spilled some candy and Evelyn without skipping a beat said "Oh no! My candy!!" But after collecting her candy and putting it back in her bucket, she was off to the next house.

When we were done trick-or-treating we came and sat with P and passed out candy, Evelyn loved seeing everyone in their costumes! It was a really great night! I swear having kids makes Holidays so much more fun and important to me. I'm so glad Evelyn had a fun filled October and Halloween :)

Pumpkins!

A few weeks ago I wrote about our fun trip to The Pumpkin Patch!

Well on Sunday we decided to carve our pumpkins! Ended up being a good day to do it since we couldnt do our normal weekends with Evelyn, due to Hurricanne Sandy....it was just windy and cold and a tad bit rainy.

Evelyn wasnt interested at all in the carvings. At first she was kinda into it...and then she decided Tangled was better so she watched her movie while we carved.

I found out I can really ruin those carving knifes from walmart. Seriously I ruined 3 of them!

P did Evelyn's pumpkin. We thought Tinkerbell suited her since this year she is a......you guessed it Fairy!! I was lucky he wanted to do it, cause it had lots of tiny pieces, so I did his pumpkin for him!

Do you like them? I dont think I have ever been more proud of pumpkins!

Halloween Decor PT. 2

If you didnt check out yesterdays post for the inside of my house Click Here

I always concider the outside of the house to be important. You have to have a cool spooky outside. My house is personally not up to where I want it to be. I'd love to have a graveyard and maybe get a fog machine and hang something from the trees but this year it just was not within our budget to do it, but one year it will be the scariest house on the block!

This would be my main window. I love blood. I had these blood cling-on's in my window last year and just loved them! My little skull man in the window there lights up. My ghosts houl and light up as well. The skulls sticking out of the ground are supposta be lights but I dont have an outlet outside so they are just out for show. Like my spider? you ca get it at Target. There are huge spiders all over peoples houses in my neighborhood.

I love my front door! I love the spiders all over it. I love my new wreath I made this year, which I am sorry its hard to see the Sun was bright! Can you see the eyes? Best part of the whole wreath. I also love my little Frankie. My 1st Halloween decoration I ever bought. Evelyn loves him too.
This would be just the otherside. Not so scary or cool. I want to do more with the windows. Im still deciding what to do. Not too fancy I know, but you can never have too many spider webs!

Heres the links for the crafts again.

Eyeball Wreath, what I did instead of doing white stryofoam balls was I bought glittered styrofoam and it really made the eyes pop. I also bought googley eyes with lashes. Both at Hobby Lobby. Click Here for the tutorial.

Magnet Spiders- seriousy easy easy EASY! I would do it again in a heartbeat litterally took me maybe 45 minutes to cut and glue everything. Super simple! Click Here for the tutorial.

Halloween Decor Pt. 1

Halloween is by far my favorite Holiday! I love spooky things, ghosts, pumpkin anything, costumes! Everything about it is awesome! I have been known by my family and friends to start searching for Halloween decor inside and out from the day it hits the shelves. This year since I was home for a while I got to do alot of crafts for it! Thank you Pintrest!! At the bottom of this post will be the links to the crafts if you'd like to do them or Pin for later :)

This would be the bar that seperates my living room and dinning room. You might remember Ghost, Frankenstien and Pumpkin that I did before. I gave a Pumpkin away on a giveaway a few weeks ago! Most of these things I found at a shop called Tai Pan Trading Co in Salt Lake City, and just random spots. P and I love that Skull you see on #3 it lights up on the inside.

This is ontop of my fridge, you might notice the coupons behind the witch hat. These witch hates light up and the pumpkin with the ghost lights up as well. I love my metal spider too! I have been meaning to spray paint it with glitter.
This came from P a few years ago, before we got married. I was having a bad day at work and he sent me a flower arrangment. The flowers are fake now but I made it pretty close to the arrangment he did give me. Oh and I kept that card. What a dork.
Do you like my little Ghost lattern? another boutique find :)
This is another craft I did at home. Evelyn's cute little feet!! I just love this!! I cant wait to do one for Christmas!

These little guys I got at Target last year that I displayed on my staircase. This year they are little guys Evelyn loves to play with. They end up all over the house. Her favorite is the pumpkin guy.
My front door! I love my little spiders! They are a craft and are also on my front door.. I got my cute little sign at Hobby Lobby last year.

Tomorrow I'll be doing my outside...and wont be such a big post!

Heres a few links to the crafts in these photos.

Pumpkin Patch!

I know everyone posts about how much fun they had at the pumpkin patch, but this wasn't just Evelyns first time at the Pumpkin Patch it was mine and P's first time! P's family stole pumkins when he was a kid, great role models, he knows. I just never got the shot to go I guess so this year I wanted to take Evelyn.
I as surprised how much fun it actually was. They had plenty of games and a HUGE balloon thing attached to the ground and a DJ? I had no clue! I think we will be making this a tradition!
Of course we took Evelyn on a Hayride! I hought she'd be way more into it but once she saw that Hay all over all she wanted was to sit down and play in he hay...but luckily I got a good photo of her looking like she was enjoying the ride.
We had homemade pumpkin and butter pecan ice cream which was seriously delicious!! P and I got pumpkins and decided to get Evelyn a pumpkin later on since she was being kind of restless. Although she was a big fan of this cute white pumpkin that she kept picking up. I was sad we didnt get it for her.
It was such a fabulous fall day! Such a fun experience to do with Evelyn! Heres a closer look at her outfit :)
See our little candy corn :)

Fall into Fall

I am in love with Fall! Sadly I think Utah has one of the best fall's ever and I am missing out on it! I am pretty bummed Kansas does not have a fall...no its not normal one bit! The leaves change colors for a week and then fall off the branches. Some trees cant even make up their minds. Mind you its not picture worthey at all! This is a photo my Dad sent me a few weeks ago at a canyon by our home...
I absolutly love it! I wish I was there. Especially with the mountians. Damn I miss those!

But best thing about Fall is....HALLOWEEN! I am a freak because its my favorite holiday! I love getting my house decked out and seeing all the little one in their costumes! which you better believe Evelyn will be dressed up! But you wont find out what she is until Halloween! She looks adorable in her outfit!

I have always wanted my house to be decked out. Haunted House style for sure! Headstones, fog machine and all! Sadly the fog machine wont work this year since I dont have a outdoor outlet and I dont wanna buy an extention cord for one night...maybe next year. But I finally got my headstones! My husbands the best to let me go all out on the house! Heres just a peak at what the house looks like right now...I have a few things that will go out on Halloween night!

I can do it!

I have to admit....I am not creative. Honestly. I suck. Its bad. Its a waste of money.
Well everyone was talking about Pintrest...I figured..HEY I might as well look at it :) Well my friend Jennie has "pinned" this cute little thing! Black Tulle Wreath I loved it and tagged it...I knew I sucked at making things...so I thought I'd just buy it off Etsy.
My friend Katie @ Life of a Army Wife, "pinned" the same wreath and decided to make it. So I thought I would try it if she did good and said it was easy...well she said it was easy. So...I decided its time to try and be crafty.
Yesterday while running my errands..I went to Joanns and grabbed the things I needed, and came home and got to work.
Thanks to Katie she gave me a youtube link on  how to make it! I swear I have some of the sweetest friends.

Anyways I just had to say how proud I am of myself for doing this!! Today I am doing another one...only Green and Red! (ps I'm thinking of hot gluing a skeleton onto the wreath)(oh and my tulle has sparkles on it!!)
