EWW

So as much as I hate to do a post about this....I need my mommies, my mommies to be, and my other friends to give me advice on....

STRETCH MARKS..

GAH! I have been using this lotion called Blooming Beautiful that I got at Motherhood Maternity, I loved the smell and have been using it pretty good with the occasional forgetting, and I am starting to get stretch marks...GAH. I already have them on my belly from getting a fat-butt (yeah no way around it) So I knew there was a chance I would end up with them, and I would like to really no look like a old balloon with the helium thats gone it of it by the time I have Baby Girl.

Any suggestions!?!? I'll take and try anything!

I've never been pregnant, but I've heard some people rave about wheat germ oil.

maderma or the cocoa butter meant just for stretch marks! I only have two on my sides. that's it - it definitely worked for me!

I used bio oil and coco butter every day from the day I found out I was pregnant and I got them! My doctor said there is no going around them, because if your skin sucks at stretching then it sucks at stretching. You can use the stuff to help them heal, and lighten them but there really isn't much avoiding it! Unfortunately haha.

I used Body Butter from Great Mother's Goods. It was GREAT, smelled good, and felt so good on my belly. I tried all the coco butter but the smell turned me away, it made me gag for some reason!

I think some people are more prone than others. I thought I was free and clear until my last 3 weeks then they popped up. My personal opinion, its marks of a woman. I don't care that they're there and Scott doesn't care and nobody else but doctors see my stomach so I could care less. Of course they're not the prettiest thing but eh... whatever. That's life. Just a nice little reminder of what you went through for your sweet daughter.

Cocoa butter or straight vitamin E oil. Both work really well :)

and do not scratch!! That makes them worse, rub and pat where it itches but what ever you do, don't scratch.

Stretch marks are genetic. If your mom & grandmother got them, you're going to get them. It's awful, but it's true. You can't do much to avoid it, but the lotion will help with the itching that your belly is doing from growing. You can also talk to you OB about them.
