MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

I am hoping I get more readers soon so I can do some more fun stuff and read some cool stories.

1. What is the silliest get-up you have ever worn outside of a Halloween party? (from To The Nth)
My husband and I went to a "White Trash Bash" party at another soldiers house, and I went all out! I wore a black lace tank, hot pink leopard jacket, tight jean skirt, and these old clunky shoes (I never wear them and refuse to throw them away because I love them!). Had my hair in pig tails and Paul put his name on my chest. It was hilarious!

2. What is something that you gave up in order to live the military lifestyle? (from Pennies from Heaven)
I wouldn't say I gave it up, but I definitely sacrificed it. My family, My friends, my job that I loved. I miss some much by not seeing my friends kids grow up, and other family members get married and also getting to run away to them sometimes. I am super close with my family so it was a really hard struggle, but I would do it again and again.

3. If money wasn’t a factor and you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? And why? (from Life and Times of a Displaced Jersey Girl)
 Italy or Australia. Italy I actually might have the chance to go to after this next deployment. One last big vacation before kiddos, but it also depends on where we might move to, and the reason to go there is THE FOOD, I love to cook Italian! I wish I was Italian sometimes...but Australia because I would love to see the great barrier reef! I love the accents and you don't hear many people say "I went down under".

4. If you were going to join the military, what branch would you join? Or which MOS/rating would you choose? (from And You Never Did Think)
ARMY, to be honest I also signed up but when I came to check out what Military Life was about (through an enlisted friend) I met my husband. I would have been Infantry or MP, I wanted to get my fears out of my way. I have never shot a gun and my husband is going to take me shooting one day to "shoot" that fear down.

5. What is your favorite thing to make for dinner? (from Armendinger Party of 4)
I love to make Chicken Parmigiana. Mine is baked and not fried, and I absolutely love it! Though Pork Chops in a creamy champagne sauce with rustic garlic potatos is really a great meal!!
